Lose Weight in Two Simple Steps

a.k.a. Jennifer Garner is Still Hot, We've Given up on You

Just a quick update... apparently advertisers have given up on your New Year's Resolutions, probably before you have.  Last week I reported that 15 companies were advertising products to help you lose weight while watching Alias.

In last night's episode, only two companies that I noticed advertised anything related to weight loss.  Bally's Total Fitness ran their typical ad, and our good friends at Yoplait are still at it.  (And we know how I feel about yogurt ads.)

After Alias I watched the news.  Apparently, in a new research study released today, doctors confirmed that regular exercise can increase overall health, and that most Americans don't exercise enough.  Furthermore, with increased fitness, most people experience enhanced energy, according to the study.

SunFyre became fascinated and proclaimed "DUH!"

That's right up their with 100 years of research to confirm that smoking cigarettes causes you to cough up black crap every morning.

Here's the facts, folks.  The diet plan of all diet plans.  It's a two step plan that works for everyone, guaranteed!

Step 1:  Put less food in your mouth!

Step 2:  Exercise more.

It's that freaking simple, people.  There's no magic, no pill, no book and that's the problem, there's also nothing to sell.  If you can't package it and sell it, there's no reason to publicize it.

The key words are "less" and "more".  If you eat less than you are eating now, and become more active than you are now, you will lose weight and feel better physically.

People like to make excuses and use words like "metabolism" or "carbohydrate" and you hear the words "fiber" or "cortasol", when the simple truth lies in basic physics.

It takes a specific amount of energy to move your mass.

It takes a specific amount of fuel (calories) to produce that energy.

Any excess fuel consumed is stored as fat.  If you consume more calories than your body requires in energy, you get fat.

If your body needs more energy than you've consumed, it uses the fuel in storage, and you burn fat.

There is more to it than this simple formula, but for over 99% of people, the formula works flawlessly.  You may argue with me, but I don't care, because you are just a whiner.  Try it, it works!  I guarantee it or your money back.
